Good deep red. Quite closed on the nose, with the new oak showing today. Round, sappy and sweet, but with the fruit currently in the deep background. Showing less early detail than the best 2005s at this address, but this became suppler and sweeter with air and should age very well. From vines in Mazoyeres, with roughly equal surface area planted in 1935, 1991 and 2001. The ugly duckling in my cellar, notes Roumier.
